The Regional Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Murcia (FRECOM), has celebrated this year the XXXII Edition of the Construction Sector Awards of the Region of Murcia.
These awards are given annually to entrepreneurs and companies that stand out for their excellence, good work and dedication, as well as innovation and improvement of production processes.
Among the four awards is the Innovation Award, in collaboration with the Construction Technology Center of the Region of Murcia (CTCON), which is a public recognition intended to motivate companies that are committed to Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) activities and contribute to the dissemination of the importance of innovation in the construction sector.
On this occasion, the innovation award went to CHM Obras e Infraestructuras for the research project "Microincrustación de áridos para la mejora de la adherencia en carreteras" (microinvolta). This is a new technique developed by CHM that improves the skid resistance of asphalt pavements by acting on their microtexture in an economically and environmentally sustainable way, increasing maintenance and intervention times and road safety. The technique can be applied during the paving of new wearing courses, and can also be applied to existing wearing courses.
