Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has awarded the contract for line renovation and infrastructure improvement work on the stretch of Tram line 9 between Calpe and Teulada stations to the temporary joint venture formed by CHM plus FCC and Convensa. The intervention is part of work being carried out by the Valencia Government Department of Housing, Public Works and Territorial Vertebration to modernise the line. The contract is worth 15.7 million euros with a 12-month execution period and includes work on tunnels, bridges and other structures along the line. The renovation of more than 12 kilometres of tram line will result in better safety, greater user comfort, increased lifespan for the line and a reduction in maintenance.
Last October, the joint venture formed by CHM and Tecsa was also awarded a contract worth close to 4 million euros for work on another stretch of Tram line 9 between Benidorm and Dénia.
