The UTE composed of CHM Obras e Infraestructuras, S.A. and Tecsa Empresa Constructora has been awarded the first of the contracts put out to tender by the Ministry of Infrastructure for the renovation of the tracks and infrastructure at the Benidorm, Teulada, Gata, and Dénia stations, with an awarded price of 3.7 million euros (VAT not included). Currently, the section between Calp and Dénia is suspended after Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana agreed to it last July for safety reasons.

The planned works will consist of the renovation of tracks and sidings, as well as platforms and the fitting-out and rehabilitation of buildings at the Benidorm, Teulada, Gata de Gorgos, and Dénia stations, in addition to raising the platform at l'Alfàs del Pi. Furthermore, the urbanization of these facilities will be carried out.
